Brrrrrr……There are only two things I like about winters. Snuggling deep-down under the warm and cozy comforter and hot, soulful soups. Those are the only two things that make the winters bearable for me. I agree that there is something magical and beautiful in the air, in the month of December but the nail-biting, teeth-chattering cold just kills it for me. I mean, you go out on a Christmas eve or new year’s eve, only to mummify in the bone-chilling cold and wishing you had listened to your winter-hating gut and stayed at home sipping hot cocoa by the fireplace, reading a good suspense novel. Som Tum/ Green papaya salad
Most women dream of expensive jewelry, designer clothes, dozens of shoes and exotic vacations. I dream of a dream-kitchen. Granite countertop, stainless steel double ovens, top of the line pots and pans, dishwasher and stove, huge kitchen island, lots of glass windows overlooking my herb and vegetable garden, lots of cabinets and not to forget, a room-size pantry. Arrabiata sauce
What’s the similarity between Laurel and Hardy, Tom and Jerry and Calvin and Hobbes? They are a pair where one is incomplete without the other. I would like to add arancini and arrabiata sauce to that list. They are o.k. individually but are simply awesome together. Each one comes to life in the presence of another. All chutneys and dipping sauces are the life line of appetizers and snacks. It’s just not the same without them. My husband loves the marinara sauce that comes with bread sticks from pizza joints.
