Last year, I got a new recipe of Suji halwa given to me by my Punjabi friend, Divya. The recipe sounded very interesting. But I had my doubts. Her recipe didn’t involve any roasting of Suji and no water what so ever. After talking back and forth with her on this, I decided to take the plunge. And now I can’t believe I sat on it for a year.
Here is the recipe-
Ingredients
1 cup Semolina or Suji
1 cup Sugar
1 1/4 cup whole Milk
3/4 cup Ghee
Saffron Strands
1 tsp Cardamom powder
1/4 cup blanched almonds and pistachios
