When ever I make dal, I have to add some garam masala to it or else it’s not ‘dal’ for me. 🙂 It makes such a huge difference and when the garam masala is home-made, I am talking about ‘night and day’ difference. A good garam masala not only makes the dish complete, it makes it finger-licking good. When a bunch of whole spices are roasted on a medium flame and an earthy, strong but rustic aroma fills your nostril, you know something good is in store (pun intended)for everyone and mouth-watering days ahead. Cheers to the mouth-watering days!
