Vegetarian Teriyaki ZOODLES
I know the saying ‘Time flies” is such a cliché but we all have felt it not just fly by us but zoom past us at some or the other point in our lives. Brrrrrr……There are only two things I like about winters. Snuggling deep-down under the warm and cozy comforter and hot, soulful soups. Those are the only two things that make the winters bearable for me. I agree that there is something magical and beautiful in the air, in the month of December but the nail-biting, teeth-chattering cold just kills it for me. I mean, you go out on a Christmas eve or new year’s eve, only to mummify in the bone-chilling cold and wishing you had listened to your winter-hating gut and stayed at home sipping hot cocoa by the fireplace, reading a good suspense novel. I have not yet seen the new year’s ball drop in New York. Can you believe it? I just don’t think I have it in me. Guess, I am not a cold loving person or may be, I am, if I don’t have to step out of my home. 
Gone are the days when kids only used to scream for Ice-creams. These days my 4 year old screams for pizza more than for an ice-cream. Its popularity among kids and adults is unparalleled. I tried to love the pizza served in restaurants and at pizza places but never really could. The thick soft crust topped with few vegetables and loads of cheese was never really my cup of tea. Switching over to thin crust didn’t help either. It was too hard. So I avoided eating it for a long time. Then one day the unthinkable happened. My son after watching a cartoon ran over to me and said “Mom, I want to eat pizza.” 😯 I should have known that this day was coming.
